'Festa delle erbe aromatiche officinali e antiche piante' edizione 2008

Nella cornice del golfo di Andora, in collina davanti al mare si trova Rollo, piccolo borgo ligure, rustico e antico. A giugno vi si svolge come ogni anno la “ Festa delle erbe”, mostra mercato dedicata alle erbe aromatiche, officinali e alle piante antiche e rare. La manifestazione ospiterà, nella piazza e negli uliveti, vivaisti specializzati ed espositori con le spezie e i prodotti derivati. Creazioni artistiche, fantasia e magia completeranno le cose da guardare e le storie da capire.
Nella IX edizione la Festa sarà dedicata al “ verde semplice e magico ”.
La cadenza di calendario celebra il solstizio d’estate e sottolinea il carattere rituale e magico legato alle erbe. Giornate in cui aleggia un’aria evocativa e misteriosa, antica e rinnovata nelle credenze popolari.
Il verde semplice fa parte della nostra storia familiare, l’erba aromatica può essere aggiunta con successo quasi dappertutto, la spezia dà carattere e originalità. Semplice è l’erba buona raccolta nel prato, l’aroma assaggiato al pranzo degli amici, o la foglia di basilico nella conserva di pomodoro. Si ricorda il sapore che caratterizza il medicamento o la medicina. Si ama il gusto della caramella. Si indossa il velo di un profumo. Il sapore crea abitudini, preferenze, gusti e rimedi. L’essenza crea l’atmosfera.
Le erbe e gli aromi hanno storie lunghissime, raccontate e scritte, tramandate, riscritte, riscoperte e ancora da scoprire. Ogni espositore della Festa delle erbe proporrà ai visitatori una sosta per ascoltar le parole dai libri e dalle esperienze. Un libro importante sul peperoncino sarà vicino ad una collezione di piante di peperoncino. Un eccezionale libro sul basilico, un eccentrico discorso nel libro sul cioccolato, una rassegna di testi sulle piante spontanee mangerecce, una chiacchierata appassionata sulle rose: quindi tante piante da sperimentare, da conoscere, da riscoprire vicino ai libri.
Evocando il verde magico delle favole immaginiamo le sensazioni e i limiti tra la realtà e la fantasia. Significando la forza delle parole, Dante parlò di una selva oscura che rimase impressa a tutti trasportandoci sui limiti della conoscenza e dell’impossibile e Leopardi ha trasformato le siepi in un sipario della nostra vita verso l’infinito.
Scienza e mistero, ritualità e paura, passione e magia. Migliaia di fate, folletti, streghe, maghe e magò, Merlini e gnomi : un mondo di sogni applicati e incantati nella natura. Sciamani e stregoni sensibili alle voci delle erbe, alle ombre degli alberi. La conoscenza profonda dei genii del medioevo e della scienza dei secoli successivi si intreccia ancora col mistero delle cose.
Non ci saranno più scopritori di terre, ma tantissimi uomini devono ancora esplorare le regole e le meraviglie dell’equilibrio naturale del nostro pianeta.
E’ una cosa simpatica inventare favole e ancora più divertente è sapere che ci sono messaggi della natura da raccogliere ogni giorno.

Market Exhibition IX Edition
In the frame of the Andora Gulf, on the hills in front of the sea, is placed Rollo, a small, rustic and ancient village of Liguria. In June, “The Herbs Fest, Market Exhibition dedicated to the aromatic, official herbs and ancient and rare plants” will take place there as every year. The event will host, in the square and in the olive grove, plants experts and exhibitors with spices and derived products. Artistic creations, fantasy and magic will complete the things to be seen and the stories to be understood.
In the IX edition, the Fest will be dedicated to the “simple and magic green”.
The calendar celebrates the summer solstice and it underlines the ritual and magic nature of herbs. Days where an evocative mysterious and ancient air renewed by the popular beliefs flutters.
The simple green is part of our family story, the aromatic herb can be added with success nearly everywhere, the spice provides peculiarity and originality. The good herb taken in the grass is simple, the flavour tasted at the friends’ lunch, or the basil leaf in the tinned tomato. We always remember the taste which characterises the medicinal or the medicine. We love the taste of the candy. We wear the veil of a perfume. The flavour creates habitus, preferences, tastes and remedies. The essence creates the athmosphere.
The herbs and the aroma have very long stories, narrated and written, handed down, re-written, re-discovered and still to be discovered. Each Fest exhibitor will propose to visitors a break for listening to the words from the books and from the experiences. An important book about chilli will be placed near a collection of chilli plants. Un excellent book about basil, an eccentric discourse in the book about chocolate, a review on the texts about the spontaneous edible plants, a passionate chat about the roses: lots of plants then to experiment, to know, to discover near the books.
Evoking the magic green of the tales, we imagine the sensations and the boundaries between reality and fantasy. Dante, meaning the strength of the words, spoke about an obscure forest which stayed impressed to everybody, conveying us on the boundaries of the knowledge and of the impossible and Leopardi transformed the hedges in a curtain of our life towards the infinite.
Science and mystery, rituality and fear, passion and magic. Thousands of fairies, elf, witches, wizards, Merlin and gnomes: a dream world applied and enchanted in the nature. Shamans and magicians sensible to the herb voices, to the three shades. The profound knowledge of the Medieval geniuses and of the science of the later centuries, still interlace with the mystery of things.
There will not be anymore discoverers of lands, but lots of men still have to explore the rules and the wonders of the natural equilibrium of our planet.
It is an enjoyable thing to invent tales and even more amusing it is knowing that there are messages in the nature to pick up every day.
